  1. Deals
  2. Comfort
  3. Travel well with few wrinkles

Bottoms

With temperatures dropping we all want that one pair of bottoms that take us into those low temperatures in style! We can only wear so many pairs of skinny jeans but sometimes you want something that doesn't feel as tight around your middle! Try our favorite fleece-lined leggings by Baleaf. the pickets on each side will keep you organized and the fabric looks great from day to night.

Wide leg jersey pants are a cult favorite of travelers for comfort and style. They’re sweatpants masquerading as work pants is how one influencer described the U Wide-Fit Curved Jersey Pants by Uniqlo. Details that put them in the sweatpants category, are a hidden elastic waistband and a drawstring to cinch the waist, but a good looking button and zipper highlight make them look more elevated and presentable. Tip: we love these pants with a pair of white tennis shoes for a chic casual look.

A cult favorite of travelers is another product from Uniqlo: women ultra stretch pants. Get these in a classic fall color, camel, and you will look like a million bucks for years to come. These pants are comfy for whatever activity you choose to do and you can change how they look by simply changing your shoes. If you don't love camel, there are plenty of other colors to choose from.

We love these Banana Republic joggers for rushing through the airport. They are super comfortable and it is always a bonus to have deep pockets to stash stuff while you're on the go. With three colors available, you're bound to find something that pleases your eye for that perfect outfit. Tip: Pair these with Adidas' Stan Smiths from Macy's listed below for an effortless chic outfit for touring anywhere. A pin-tuck seam runs down the center front of the legs, mimicking the tailored look of a true trouser crease.

They say skinny jeans may be a thing of the past and honestly they can be pretty uncomfortable during a long day on your feet. A best seller at made well are these are made of soft-to-the-touch denim woven with TENCEL™ lyocell. These cropped mini-flare jeans are reengineered for those with an hourglass shape. Don't feel you need the curvy version? Madewell has a regular version too.

At once relaxed and refined, these stovepipe jeans have a French-lady-with-a-capsule-wardrobe feel (and that medium indigo wash is just so versatile). Savings tip: If you have American Express, look in their offers section because the frequently have additional rebates with Madewell purchases. Don't know how? Use our guide!

Madewell jeans are awesome but if you don't want to spend over $100, we suggest looking at Old Navy. Oner the last few years they have grown in reputation for quality denim at affordable prices, and their selection of styles and sizes are hard to beat. We love these comfy boot cut jeans that are under $35 generally.

A very European look continues to be white tennis shoes with anything no matter what time of year. We love Stan Smith sneakers by Adidas and they come with all color accents from gold, green, navy and more. They are affordable and a favorite of most shoppers and reviewers.

Scarves

A collection of colorful or interesting scarves will make your outfits look different during your entire trip and won't take up lots of space. You can find scarves anywhere for under $25, and then you can take as many as you need on your trip.

Gap has great scarves and this is one of our favorites because of the bright colors that will go with so many things. It won't wrinkle and can be hand washed.

Add a little pizazz to your evening with this great scarf from Banana Republic Factory. This fabric can be hand washed and won't wrinkle in your carryon.

Do you have blue eyes? Nothing looks better peaking out of your jacket than a blue scarf. We love this paisley scarf from JJill. Perfect for so many outfits year around, the pale blues and pinks lend this scarf to many other colors like taupe, grey, navy, white, tan, lavender, and black.

This coral colored scarf from L.L.Bean is beautiful to combine with basic pieces. If you don't love this one, L.L.Bean knows cold weather and has many options to think about for great prices.

Tops

Layering tee shirts. Worried that you won't have access to a washer? If you bring a number of base layer tees you can keep your outfits feeling fresh everyday. Even better, you can hand wash them in the shower or sink to keep them fresh without the world being able to see if they're wrinkled below your top! We love this one from H&M that comes in four basic colors. It is very reasonably priced and is one of our and many others' favorites.

Basic color fleece tops. In years past fleece tops were only sporty styles and while those may be great for daytime, you probably wouldn't wear one to a nice dinner. We love these tops by Uniqlo. The ship is great and there are many colors to choose from. Pair the different colors with a variety of scarves and you will have instant variety in your wardrobe and not take up too much space. One reason we love fleece for traveling is that it doesn't wrinkle.

We love this effortless balloon sleeve sweater to pair with anything to look pulled together day or night. There are five colors to choose from to demonstrate how you feel that day! Pair this with a great scarf to take this day to night.

This Topshop charcoal gray super soft roll neck sweater will always add contemporary and chic layering style. Plus for added bonus: it's machine-washable and a great price!

Socks

Fortunately socks can be hand washed in the sink or shower. We usually bring a variety of socks to get us through whatever conditions we antiicpate. There are a few options. For really cold weather, we love nuwool socks. They are moisture wicking, don't itch and generally aren't overly thick. These are a great staple for any wardrobe and will work for many activaties from hiking during the day to exploring Paris at night.

We love compression socks for every trip. We start by wearing them on the airplane and use them during long days of touring on our feet to keep our legs engergized. Worried that you will be wearing your grandmas ugly socks? You may not realize that compression socks come in all kinds of styles from ankle, knee-highs, thigh-highs and full length. We never leave home without them.

Anti-theft Bag

You should always consider security for any trip and we have a few favorite bags to use!

We love the Sherpani AT line of bags and there are so many to choose from. One of our favorites is the Vale. Why? It has color block style that allows you to have four different colored bags depending on how you wear it. The Vale AT can be worn as a crossbody, shoulder bag or tote and features a smart reversible configuration. Just adjust where and which sides the straps are clipped on to change the style.

A good wristlet is an elegant way to carry essentials day or night. One of our favorites is this phone wristlet by Michael Kors. There are many colors available using a beautiful pebble leather.

And lastly, a great coat will pull it all together. Yes we love lots of color to, but for your basic pieces, stick with your basic colors so you don't have to carry a ton of things in your bag! Remember, we are going for CARRY ON ONLY! You don't need to spend a ton to get a great coat. We love Uniqlo for quality and price and they don't disappoint when it comes to outerwear. What is our favorite? This Blocktech coat comes in a number of colors but black will be your most useful if you want something to take you day to night. Some of the features that we love about this coat are that it has a windproof exterior and breathable lining with a durable, water-resistant stretch fabric. Sealing tape at the seams keeps helps to keep out the wind and rain.

We hope you've found some great ideas here! Truly we have enjoyed shopping for you! Always remember to make meaningful and healthy travel happen!
